For the Maya, these mystical caves flooded with water were the gateway to the world of the dead, “Xibalba”. Get ready not only for a scuba dive, but also for an experience in this mysterious Mayan world.
The Riviera Maya boasts the world’s largest underground water system. In these fresh waters, you’ll find plenty of biodiversity, as well as stalactites, stalagmites, gas clouds (sulfuric acid) and haloclines (a mixture of salt and fresh water). Enjoy this magical, unforgettable experience.
